I agree something needs to be done to protect this great fishery that we all make money off of and enjoy. I think they should limit you to 1 Walleye during that time frame. We do have enough regulations, but if we want to preserve this fishery for OURSELVES as well as others. We need to get together and stop being heros at the cleaning Table and start practicing a lot more CATCH & RELEASE! This goes for all species except Salmon which are going to die anyway. Nothing disgusts me more than to see someone cleaning a 15# Steelie, Brown Trout or Laker to eat and especialy a limit of 4# Smallies on Lake Erie. Let some of these fish go, You are the ones that control of your own Future! If there are no fish to catch, how long do you think your clients will come back, at least they will get the thrill of catching them and continue to, if We talk them into letting some go!
