Women's Outdoor Program August 14 - Pam Lederhouse of Ransomville sends word that everything is set for their annual National Wild Turkey Federation Women in the Outdoors Program being sponsored by the Niagara County Gobblers Chapter of NWTF on August 14th. If you're a woman 14 years of age or older who's been intimidated by the world of the outdoors, look no further than this one-day class - to be hosted by the North Forest Rod & Gun Club located at 6257 Old Niagara Road, Lockport from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Always want to get into the outdoors but didn't know the first things about how or where you could get involved? This interactive educational opportunity is for you then. Attendees can choose four different courses to take during the day. Topics include archery, outdoor cooking, bird dog training, hiking, firearm safety and shooting, as well as map and compass training. Your $45 registration includes the use of all the equipment, program materials and instruction. Breakfast snacks and lunch are also included. For more information, contact Pam at 791-3151.
