The aims and goals of the Pioneer Sportsmen are as
follows;
1.) Discuss, research and document historic outdoor
stories.
2.) Collect historic information, artifacts & pictures.
3.) Develop periodic Pioneer newsletters.
4.) Present educational programs on outdoor history of the
area to area youth and the general public.
5.) Participate in educational events and shows.

Since our formation we meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 9:30 AM at different locations,
in the County. Generally at one of
the many other County Sportsmen’s Clubs. See schedule
below.

The Pioneers are comprised of mostly older Sportsmen of
Niagara County that remain active in their sport of choice and
remain as pillars of knowledge that they continue to share
with others. There is a continuing problem though,
because as members get along in years and fade away there is
not a big line of people waiting to fill those empty shoes.
Today’s Pioneers play a vital role in incorporating their
wisdom gained from many years of experience and are more than
willing to share their experiences with everyone. There are NO
age restrictions and younger heads are more than welcome.
Younger heads bring fresh ideas. Meetings are NEVER boring.
Now days, in the growing need for more Sportsmen of getting
active in preserving their sport, the Pioneers need a boost in
membership. If you would like to join us, or even just if you

Sportsmen
Every year the Pioneers send a youth to
the New York DEC Conservation Camp. All fees paid by the
Pioneer Club. The money is raised through fundraisers and
members going in their own pockets. Also each year the
Pioneers attend the Niagara County Field Days and the Big
Outdoors event sponsored by the Niagara County Federation of Sportsmen’s
Clubs in conjunction with the New York Power Authority in
September.
